From the outside, it seems like Katelyn has life all figured out, but deep inside, she’s wrestled with a profound sense of disconnection—a truth she’s been in denial about for far too long. Her memories have always been more about emotions and sensations than clear images, leaving life feeling like a fragmented dream. Navigating young adulthood—living far from home, starting her first corporate job, and managing the responsibilities that come with adulthood—she’s begun to feel distanced from reality, living in two worlds: one rooted in the present, amid corporate buildings, and the other in a dreamlike state.
Her art serves as a reflection of her personal journey to reconnect with the world and uncover her true self. Through painting, she bridges the gap between her inner experiences and the external world, crafting a space where she can be fully and authentically herself.
